Meet the Flock

hey hi hello
I'm Kat. I rule the roost around here. I don't have a group of developers, social media managers, or a marketing team. I do have (when he isn't fawning over my partner) a very sweet (for now) two year old Indian Ringneck (Perry), a seven year old heart of gold budgie (Newman), and my sun and moon; a six year old beaky greencheek conure (Nova). They have inspired a flight of fancy and I'm running with it. I have a vision I intend to make a reality despite having no experience in the previously mentioned fields. And because that isn't enough of a challenge, I'm doing it while being disabled by ADHD giving me Swiss cheese brain. So, if you're wanting to know an exact release date, ha. me too.

It's early days yet, but my priority is addressing the ongoing rehoming crisis followed by wanting to deliver a third place I feel is lacking in the parrot community. Yes, there are many online spaces that have corners for bird people, but no single place that combines all that I'm seeking to. It's a massive commitment, without a proper support ecosystem. For example, it's not unknown that raising a child is a life altering several decade long journey, but the reality can still surprise and overwhelm. So, there are plenty of apps and spaces devoted to supporting that. Raising a bird is also many decades and has its own hardships and complications, but there isn't as much conversation that having a bird is a significant lifestyle change, which can leave some new parronts a bit shell shocked and lost. Having a dedicated space tailored to provide support and community with others who have been there and through it can help people navigate those hardships to reach a more rewarding place without resorting to rehoming.  I hope to build something that can acknowledge the true emotional depths that parrot guardianship brings. It's beyond pet ownership, yet below parenting, it deserves it's own space where we can share the small victories and the big losses with others who truly understand.

A core belief of Club Parront is that you, the Parront, should have a strong voice. while I'm excited to make my dream a reality, I'm more interested in giving you something that brings true value to your bird journey.  Once released, there'll be a place in the app for people to share feedback and make requests that will be regularly voted on by the community for implementation. I have so many more exciting plans and features in the works, I can't wait to share it with all of you! Sign up for the newsletter to stay in the loop and watch me flounder my way to success... hopefully.

Keep your beak up.

This wouldn't have been possible without everyone who played a role in bringing it to life! I owe a big thank you and shout out to:

Logo Graphic Designer: The man who helped put a face to the brand; Jarma Siregar(@okamitix). He suffered through revision after nitpicky revision and was always professional and patient. His dedication to fine-tuning the Club Parront logo, including design feedback and visual refinements was priceless to me. Not to mention without him my social media would be bald, his lovely banners are the first thing many people see for my brand and I'm proud to show them off. He was my first partner in this business journey and set a high bar for other people to meet.

Graffiti Sticker Designer: A huge thank you to
Axcel Rizky(@aaalky) for contributing original artwork to the Club Parront merch collection. Working with talented independent artists is a core part of this project, and I'm grateful to have his creativity be part of the flock.

Embroidery Digitizer: So incredibly in awe of people like Ankit Vats(@glider_designs) who's passion for their craft shines through in every interaction. His contribution to taking Club Parront from a concept on a screen to a 3D object you can wear gave life to this community! I look forward to all the projects we're sure to have in the future.
